Bavardages sera projeté jeudi 26 Avril à l’espace Arts Dreams dans le cadre de la soirée Off de la 5ème édition des soirées de projection de courts métrages du cinéma Le Zola de Villeurbanne. Une belle occasion de voir le film si vous êtes dans le coin. Ca se passe à l’Espace Arts Dreams, 15 bis Rue Imbert Colomes 69001 Lyon. L’entrée est à 4 €. La soirée présentera aussi d’autres courts métrages : Lili J’étais (Charlène Favier), Demain est un autre jour (Augustin Caggiano) et Le Clou qui dépasse (Guillaume Defare). Plus d’informations ici.

I don’t know if it’s the same for you but here, the weather is rainy, very rainy. But I have a good new, Destronics just released a new track. They remxed the song Aquarium for our friends Housse De Racket we interviewed a few months ago for A LIVE WITH. Forget the rain and enjoy that very nice remix:

Our friend from London Newfound Land just released his first EP called A Little Happier Than You Have Ever Been. These three downtempo tracks are inspirated by the American astronomer and author Carl Sagan. There are both musical and cinematographic influences in his music and our favorite one is The Pale Blue Dot you can listen to just below. Have fun.

Remember our “A Live With” reports with famous artists such as Yuksek, Yelle, Chilly Gonzales and many more? It was fine. But not good enough for us. That’s why big news are coming ahead. The first one is quite nice: new episodes will be released. The second one is just huge! During our shootings, we met lots of many interesting personalities. Two of them changed everything for us. They were crazy enough to trust us … And just about two days ago we started shooting their new music video. For their brand new track. From their freshly new album. We don’t want to tease you so we’ll just say this : your favourite “daft” robots will be back in September and we are to direct their music video. I am sure you understood …

Just a few words for saying that our short film Bavardages is in competition at the Fenêtre Sur Court Film Festival tomorrow in Paris. Don’t hesitate to come watch our movie which has already won two prices in festivals. The film is directed by Etienne Perrin and the music is made by Quentin Lechemia from Destronics.

Notre amie blogueuse Céline Cavaillero organise la première soirée Bons Baisers D’ailleurs avec au programme le lancement de la version papier du magazine de mode La Moue accompagné d’une exposition/vente de bijoux. Des appareils photo vous seront distribués afin d’immortaliser la soirée à votre guise. La musique sera gérée par nos copains les Destronics et bien d’autres goodies vous seront offerts. Ah et c’est gratuit, forcément. La soirée se passe au Fantôme de l’Opéra ce mercredi 29 Février. Nous on sera là.

We told you about Oestrogenics a few months ago. They made a great 1-hour mix called “Back to School” that we really enjoy! This time, we asked them to make a mix just for us, and they agreed. Those two guys from Grenoble, who are now living in Paris, produce mixtapes on the internet. They’re 23. They’re very much talented. Why don’t you listen to a “Tape for Imetrages”. Hit play. Enjoy. Before being a very good photographer, Maxime Lelong is a very good friend of us. We worked with him for the first time on the “Feel in Color”‘ shooting with Destronics. More than one year after, we had the pleasure to have him as a unit still photographer. Here are part of the pictures he took for the videoclip “Taj Mahal”. Thank you Maxime, we do love you.

Delphine Neimon from The Artchemists did an interview with Etienne Perrin, the director of the latest La//KVLKD’s music video “Taj Mahal”. If you want to know more about the video, you can find the article here. The pictures of that article were taken by Chloé “Swii” Li Fraine, also the cinematographer of the music video.

There’s lots of good news these days, and it’s all about La//KVLKD. Yeah you’ll hear a lot about them. Kitsuné just announced that the band will be part of the new Kitsuné Parisien Compilation Vol.2. They will be with many great bands like our friends Beataucue (watch our Dj set teaser for them here), Tomorrow’s World (the new band of Jean-Benoît Dunckel from Air), Juveniles and our buddy Pyramid. The compilation is out on February 13th. Don’t forget our music video for La//KVLKD is out since yesterday here.

Here we are. Now we can say it: our new music video will be for La//KVLKD. Yeah we worked for them last year for “Symptoms”. One year ago, This videoclip was elected best video of the year. We will release the video on January 3rd so stay tuned on our website. You’ll have to wait 8 days so we made a small teaser. It’s a kind of Christmas present, just for you:

Just a few words about the new video Etienne Perrin shot for Imetrages last week. This is a very special music video but we’d rather not say what band it is for. You will discover it in a few days so just be patient. The videoclip will be released in the middle of January. So yeah, you’ll have to be patient. Most of that article was made to introduce an amazing photographer, Maxime Lelong. He’s the one who took the picture you can see in the post and he’s also master when it comes to gig concerts. About a year ago, our music video “Symptoms” was elected Best Video Of the year by the blog “Électro Pépère”. “Symptoms” was the first single of La//KVLKD to be released on their first EP. A few days ago, the band published a new video on their Facebook page saying that “big news are coming”. We think it’s gonna be huge and cunning!

You don’t know it yet, but we directed the first music video of a band we really like: Salmon Fishers. This videoclip will be released on April 1^st on streaming platforms. The track is “From Ocean to Land” and you can join the Facebook event  for the release here.

We are proud to announce that we are partners for the EuroMusic Contest organised by Mutinery and the famous TPA recording studio based in London where a number of well recognised artists previously played including: The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jamiroquai, Jimi Hendrix, Klaxons… The contest is organised for bands and solo artists and there are two prizes: 3 days of recording at the Tin Pan Alley Studio in London (mixing and mastering) and a music video of the recording session directed by Imetrages. You have probably noticed: since a few days ago, the website is written in English. Indeed, our move to London has imposed several changes like this.  We considered that the majority of Francophones who follow us understand English. The blog will be, for the moment, written in two languages. We hope it won’t be a problem for you!

We also want to introduce the new Imetrages team to you that evolved since last year. Romain Bourzeix (1) worked last year on the Destronics’ music video Feel in Color as special effects designer. We decided to recruit him in the team to working on special effects and 3D. Benjamin Ackoun (2) is also a new member. We work with him on Feel in Color too and he’s the new Imetrages executive producer for some projects like the new music video we directed in London this month. Sofiane Daouzli (6) was also director of photography on this shooting and we are proud to work with him in London. Celine Cavaillero (3) is our fashion consultant and photographer and will work with us on different projects in London, mostly specialized in fashion. Quentin Lechemia (5) is a member of Destronics and work with us as composer for different projects. The last one is the short film Bavardages that will be released this year. Yann Rimbaud is the Imetrages web manager and he’s here since the beginning in 2008 like Etienne Perrin (4) who is the founder and main director of Imetrages.

New members will come this year, we are still looking for directors and operators in London and in France. Don’t hesitate to send us your work.

Done! We have made our first music video in Great Britain. One year ago, it was in Miami for the band Victori4 and this month we have worked in London for a new pop artist. You will ear about her for a few weeks. Now, we can’t give more information, this is a work made with Alive Production and the music video will be released at the end of February. The team doesn’t change, Etienne Perrin is the director, Benjamin Ackoun the executive producer and we are proud to work anew with Joss Berlioux. Remember, last time was for Destronics’ music video for the track This Night a Soldier. We will give you more information when we have, for waiting don’t forget to check out the news on Imetrages this week…

We are very proud to announce you that La//KVLKD’s music video directed by Etienne Perrin for the track Symptoms has been elected by the blog Electro Pépère as the best music video of the year face to We Used To Wait from Arcade Fire and Lemonade from Cocorosie. We are very pleased to receive this “award” purely formal because we won thanks to surfers’ votes. This article is a way to thank you and wish you a happy new year 2011.

The music video for the Destronics‘ track Feel in Color has his release date. It will be November 28^th on streaming platforms: Youtube, Dailymotion, Vimeo… It will be the first Destronics’ music video since the release of their album Digital Naive in September. A Facebook event is available. See you next week for this music video directed by Etienne Perrin with the participation of Romain Bourzeix for the special effects.

A few months ago, we filmed a DJ set for them: SomethingALaMode, a French band from Paris who is doing an important number of gigs with the Bloody Beetroots and The Toxic Avenger. The two friends who have worked with Karl Lagerfeld were in Lyon to accomplish the first part of the Bloody Beetroots. The gig was filmed and a part of this video will be available on the website in a few weeks. Few weeks because the Imetrages diary is very busy right now with, among others, the music video Feel in Color from Destronics that arrives very quickly.
